Things About This Strip
Well, 1997. Literally written and thumbnailed the evening of what happened. I was still getting a feel for long form storytelling, and for dimensions of say, my body. I drew myself looking pretty damn huge here. It would be a couple of years before I got a grip on that.
Comic was drawn right to scale, folded 8 1/2 x 11 mini comic page size. Pain in the ass to draw at that scale but I was able to produce a quick turnaround from true story to page.
And yes, this is pretty damn accurate. Probably because it was so vivid a thing and I got it down a few hours later. I remember well Claire would soon have me coming out with her any time a possible confrontation might happen. Nuts.
It's interesting to see how far you've come. You're hard on yourself but really, your comics are enjoyable AND entertaining :)
